I’m not foolish enough to singlehandedly define Australia’s biggest club tracks – and besides, I was involved in Inthemix’s team effort to do just that in 2015.
So for this exercise, the criteria were simple: “A big, belt-it-out-at-the-top-of-your-lungs vocal hook or a chorus you might see a burly tradie mouthing the words to in the condiments aisle.”
Which means many of my favourites – Drop Some Drums, Sweetness & Light, Chable & Bonnici’s Ride – weren’t even in the running.
The countdown begins right through here. It introduced legendary Dutch DJ/producer Joris Voorn to Treaty over on Facebook, so I’m chalking it up as a win.
